Birth Certificates

Certified copies of a birth certificate for those persons born while residing in West Brookfield are available through the Town Clerk's office. 

Copies are $15.00 each.  Please call the Town Clerk's office (508) 867-1421 ext. 2 with the following information:

Name, Date of Birth, number of copies needed and when you will be in to pick them up and a phone number where you can be reached should we have any questions or need additional information in order to process your request.

 

Death Certificates

Certified copies of a death certificate for those persons who resided in West Brookfield at the time of their death or those who died while in West Brookfield are available through the Town Clerk's office. 

Copies are $15.00 each.  Please call the Town Clerk's office (508) 867-1421 ext. 2 with the following information:

Name, Date of Death, number of copies needed and when you will be in to pick them up and a phone number where you can be reached should we have any questions or need additional information in order to process your request.

 

Marriage Certificates

Certified copies of Marriage Certificates for those persons filied their intentions in West Brookfield are available through the Town Clerks office.

Open Meeting & Conflict of Interest Law

Within two weeks of a member’s election or appointment or the taking of the oath of office, whichever occurs later, all members of public bodies must complete the attached Certificate of Receipt of Open Meeting Law Materials certifying that they have received these materials, and that they understand the requirements of the Open Meeting Law and the consequences of violating it.

Every 2 years, all state, county, and municipal employees must complete a conflict of interest law online training program. Newly elected or appointed public employees must complete this training within 30 days of beginning public service, and every 2 years thereafter.

POSTING A MEETING AGENDA

  • Agendas must be posted at least 48 hours in advance of the public meeting.  This means the completed agenda must be filed with the Town Clerk's office in advance of the 48 hour deadline to allow time to post. 
  • The legally required posting place is the bulletin board outside Town Hall.  The website is a public convenience - but not the legally required place. 
  • As a reminder, the Town Clerk's office is open Mon - Thu, 9am -3pm.  If you email an agenda on Fri/Sat/Sun, it will not be posted until Monday.  
  • You may email completed agendas to hgough@wbrookfield.com and agarwood-hampp@wbrookfield.com
