I am pleased to inform you that the Department of Energy Resources (DOER) Green 
Communities Division has approved an award of $180,526 for the following projects proposed in 
the Town of West Brookfield’s Green Communities Competitive Grant application.

List of projects funded:
 ● $100,000, Elementary School — LED lighting
 ● $34,422, Town Hall — Weatherization
 ● $31,831, Merriam Gilbert Library — Weatherization
 ● $1,312, Senior Center — Weatherization
 ● $3,443, Fire Dept. — Weatherization
 ● $4,518, Water Dept. — Transformers

The Division reviewed West Brookfield’s grant application and has determined these are viable 
projects that meet the eligibility requirements of our Competitive Grant program. Please note 
that, due to the competitive nature of this grant program, the use of these funds is 
restricted to the specifically-approved projects listed above.
