West Brookfield TV to be airing content soon.
West Brookfield Community TV is on schedule to begin broadcasting select board meetings as its first objective later this summer. In the interest of seeking other priorities for the future it is hosting an open meeting June 25, 6:30PM, at the West Brookfield Senior Center.
The purpose is to have town residents, government and service groups, churches and charities, businesses, hobbyists and sportsmen offer their ideas of how the rebroadcasting of content can be of interest and importance to our community.
The station has been unmanned and silent for over seven years. Thanks to the support at Annual Town Meeting, accumulated PEG franchise fees have been released. Now it’s time to hear how valuable and important it will be for residents and local stakeholders of the community.
The committee is in the process of negotiating a new, ten-year contract with Charter/Spectrum and attendance, thoughts, questions and ideas may help to convince the cable provider for more favorable financial contributions to our TV station. Can’t make the meeting? Email or call with you’re thought, questions, and ideas to your WB Cable Access Committee: westbrookfieldcommunitytv@gmail.com, 508.867.1421 x 432.
