Exciting News for West Brookfield!
We’re thrilled to announce that the West Brookfield Police Department is one of only 10 police departments statewide to receive funding in the second round of the FY25 Law Enforcement Body-Worn Camera Program!
The Healey-Driscoll Administration has awarded $728,892 in grants to support the implementation and expansion of body-worn camera programs across Massachusetts, and West Brookfield has been awarded $12,321 as part of this initiative.
Body-worn cameras are a critical tool for enhancing transparency, accountability, and community trust. This funding will help us continue to strengthen the relationship between our department and the community we serve while improving public safety and officer training.
We’re proud to be recognized as a leader in embracing this technology, and we look forward to the positive impact it will have on our community.
Thank you to the Healey-Driscoll Administration and the Office of Grants and Research (OGR) for their ongoing support!
