Beaman & Coy Hill Rd Solar Project - Proposed Interconnection Project
The solar project constructed by Agilitas Energy, LLC is proposed to interconnect with the National Grid electric distribution system, via the substation located on Route 32 in Ware. To complete this interconnection, National Grid must construct associated interconnection facilities, including utility poles and related equipment, along portions of Beaman Road, Coy Hill Road, Pierce Road, Ragged Hill Road, and Lyon Road.
At the Board of Selectmen’s meeting on May 26, 2026, there will be both a Public Shade Tree Hearing and a Pole Petition Hearing related to this project. An agreement between the Town of West Brookfield and Agilitas Energy, LLC will also be reviewed and discussed at that time.
In response to numerous inquiries regarding why Route 9 is not considered a viable route for the interconnection, National Grid’s engineers have prepared a report addressing the issue.
